Sapporo Transportation Route Map

There are three lines in operation: the Nanboku Line, the Tozai Line, and the Toho Line. Each line enters Odori Station and connects the center of Sapporo with the north, east, south, and west areas of the city. The major stations are also connected to the tram, buses, and JR lines.

Operating hours: 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Travel time: approximately 2 to 3 minutes between stations
Fare: Adults: 210 yen – 380 yen Children: 110 yen – 190 yen
One-day subway pass: 830 yen for adults, 420 yen for children
Donichika Kippu (one-day subway pass only on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and from Dec. 29 to Jan. 3): 520 yen for adults, 260 yen for children

* In addition to cash, IC cards for transportation such as SAPICA, Kitaca, and Suica can be used for boarding.

This is the northernmost tram operating in Japan. It travels in a loop around the southwestern area of the city where the subway does not run.

Operating hours: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Fare: 1 ride – 200 yen for adults 100 yen for children
Dosanko Pass: 370 yen (one-day pass for the tram on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and from Dec. 29 to Jan. 3)

Bus terminals are placed throughout Sapporo and buses run to all areas of the city.
*Hokkaido Chuo Bus, JR Hokkaido Bus, and Jotetsu Bus accept cash as well as IC cards for transportation such as SAPICA, Kitaca, and Suica.

Due to the temporary closure of the Sapporo Station Bus Terminal (scheduled from October 2023 to October 2028), the bus stop will be changed.

Payment: Japanese yen only (1000yen, 2000yen, 5000yen, 10000yen), no credit card accepted

The yellow area in the above MAP is an underground passageway that connects Sapporo Station to the building near the bus stop. You can walk without worrying about the weather.

SAPICA

This IC card can be used as a ticket on the subways, buses, and trams in the Sapporo area.

Useable areas:Subways, buses, and trams in the Sapporo area.
Fee:2,000 yen (1,500 yen available as fare, 500 yen deposit).
Place of Sale:subway stations, commuter pass sales offices, bus terminals, and sales office counters.
Charging locations:subway ticket machines, charging machines, bus offices, and some convenience stores

*Cannot be used in other IC card areas such as Kitaca areas

Kitaca

An IC card that can be used on railroads and buses with the "ic" mark anywhere in Japan.

Useable areas:JR Hokkaido IC card area, SAPICA area, and supported areas nationwide
Fee:2,000 yen (1,500 yen available as fare, 500 yen deposit).
Place of Sale:train stations in Kitaca areas, Midori-no-Madoguchi.
Charging locations:Midori-no-madoguchi, Kitaca-compatible ticket machines, charging machines, etc.
