With the connection of the central section of the Sapporo Streetcar—linking Susukino, Tanukikoji, and Nishi 4-chome—the line now forms an 8.9 km loop with 24 stops, taking about 55 minutes to circle both the lively city center and quiet residential neighborhoods. When combined with the three subway lines, you can easily travel from Odori Park to the many districts that spread out radially across the city.
This service allows you to pay your fare by tapping a contactless-enabled credit, debit, or prepaid card—or a smartphone with a registered credit card—on the dedicated reader installed inside the streetcar when you get off. (No tap is required when boarding.)
