About 12 minutes from central Sapporo via the Toho Subway Line, then a little over a 10-minute walk from Fukuzumi Station, the Daiwa House Premist Dome (Sapporo Dome) is a natural treasure trove. Activities to experience the seasons include year-round access to the dome’s observation deck and summer nature walks outside the dome (statues/monuments, plants, wild bird watching, etc.). Winter brings the DOME SNOW ZONE, featuring snow play and sports experiences like snow sliders, tube rides, snow rafting, and snowboarding lessons. This urban snow park lets families enjoy the snow without needing to bring any equipment. The adjacent Hitsujigaoka Observatory offers particularly enjoyable activities, especially for snowy landscapes and snow experiences.
The winter play area “Yuki Hiroba” has been upgraded and newly reopened!
Easily accessible from central Sapporo by subway, it is an “urban snow park” where visitors can casually enjoy snow play and winter sports experiences.
The dome arena transforms into a versatile sports area. Events are held where various sports can be enjoyed all in one place. A wide range of sports genres—urban sports, parasports and fitness, competitive sports, school sports—are offered as engaging programs. Participating children played, ran, and challenged themselves with new sports to their hearts’ content inside the dome, unaffected by the weather outside.
In summer, the surrounding area becomes a pleasant walking path. It’s especially popular for urban birdwatching, as wild birds gather here.
